Overall it was the day for South Africa, they started their second innings comfortably and without loosing any wicktes they are in commanding position with lead of 152.

South African spin bowlder Nicky Boje has announced his retirement from international cricket. Though he was included in the test team against India playing at the home, but suprisingly he has decided to retire from cricket. He now decided to devote remainder of his playing years to Eagles cricket and concentrate on his domestic cricket career only.

Nicky Boje had started his test cricket career against India at Mumbai India and he started his one day international cricket careet against Zimbabwe at Harare. His last test match was against Sri Lanka at Colombo and played last one day international against New Zealand at Port Elizabeth.

Nicky Boje is left-arm spin bowler and left handed batsman. He played 43 Tests for South Africa and took 100 wickets. His bowling average is 42.65 and best bowling figure was 5/62. He made 1312 runs in 62 innings at 25.23 with career best 85. Nicky Boje played 115 one day internationals and took 96 wickets with an average 35.57. His best bowling performance was 5/21. He made total 1414 ODI runs at avg 26.67 with highest score of 129. Sometime he was promoted in the batting lineup so as to boost up an innings average and he played some useful innings at such stages.

Ganguly recalled, Laxman vice-captain

Test Series India V/S South Africa After very long wait Sourav Ganguly has recalled to the Indian Test squad for the forthcoming three-Test series against South Africa. The selectors picked the team in New Delhi and they selected Gautam Gambhir and VRV Singh along with Sourav Ganguly. Mohammad Kaif, Suresh Raina, Dinesh Mongia and Ajit Agarkar will return home after one day series. The selectors had decided 16 team members with 7 Batsman, 5 Fast Bowlers, 2 Spinners and 2 Wicket Keepers.

They also appointed VVS Laxman as vice captain for the Test team in place of Virender Sehwag. Hope this decision may boost up Sehvag's form leading to the batter batting performance by him. Irfan Pathan has persisted his place for pace attack side along with Munaf Patel, Zaheer Khan, Sreesanth and VRV Singh. Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh will take over the spin attack. And all they are backed by Dhoni and Dinesh Kartik.
