Wonderful 8th wicket highest partnership for England between Bopara(43*) and Broad(45*) take them to the victory. They came to bat when England were on big trouble on 114/7 still 99 runs to win. Before India won the toss and selected to bat first. Once again the start was horrible for India as they lost first 3 wickets early on just 32. Tendulkar(55) and Yuvraj(71) tried to stabilize an innings but after fall of Tendulkar no one stick at the crease. Finally India all out on 212 in 49.2 overs. In reply England were loosing wickets and almost near to lose the game when they were on 114/7. Asking rate was not the problem but they need 99 more runs to win the match and the miracle begin. Bopara and Broad played really sensible cricket here no hurry, and with skillful batting they took them to the comprehensive victory. For his all-round performance Broad awarded MOM.

This time Dravid select to bat first. Tendulkar and Ganguly started the innings slowly but they give solid start to an Indian innings. Ground was comparatively smaller and the wicket was playing nicely. Once again Tendulkar out in nineties, this time just 1 short of his hundred after putting India to a promicing level. At the last Dravid's 92* in just 63 balls help them set big target for England. England did start solidly and the runs were coming easily. But wickets are falling regularly as they lost both the openers in 2 balls from M Patel and then Piyush Chawla picked up key middle-order wickets. The required rate also increasing, they required about 100 runs in last over and they lost Bell at this stage. Everything was now on tail enders and they took it positively. In particular Mascarenhas was on fire hits 5 sixes in his remarkable 52 of 39 innings. But this was not enough to pass the Indian total and they fall just 9 run short.

The first One day of NatWest Series 2007 between England and India. It was an outstanding cricketing performance from England today. Invited to bat first by India they set big target of 289 in 50 overs with the help of two hundreds from Cook(102) and Bell(126*). In reply to this India started their innings with an early run out of Ganguly. Then Anderson crushed Indian top order put them struggling on 34/4 in 12 overs. It was almost all over for India now as both the bowling and fielding from England not allowing them to do much. That tight fielding results in 3 run outs in India innings. In the end India fall short of 104 runs. This was the third biggest win by England over India.

Apart from the initial quick wickets Scotland batted well. In particular Hamilton, McCallum and in the end Wright played nicely and manage pass 200 and scored 203. The target for India set to 209 according to D/L method. In reply Indian reached the target easily with the help of solid opening start. Finally they won the game by 7 wickets and Gambhir named Man of the match for his 85*.

After lots of entertainments the match ended in a draw. This was the third test match of Pataudi Trophy, 2007 Series. India win the toss and elected to bat first and made a huge total of 664 with superb batting from top level batsman and a maiden one hundred by Anil Kumble(110*). Though the wicket was not very good for bowlers Indian bowlers manage to out England on 345. Then it was remarkable come back from England bowlers as India not offered follow on and select to bat in second innings. India lost early wickets and England bowling was very accurate not allowing many opportunities to score runs. In the last England get target of 500 and 110 overs for India to out them. With no surprise England manage to draw the match with 4 wickets to left in their second innings. So India won the series by 1-0. This was the Test Series win in England since 1986.
