The IPL, Indian Premier League, is a Twenty20 cricket tournament started by BCCI. There are total 8 teams playing in this Twenty20 cricket competition. The teams consist of Indian players and some foreign players with restriction that only 4 foreign players can play in the playing 11. Teams play each other two times and compete for the spot in top four rankings. The top four teams then proceed to the semi final stage. Rajasthan Royals lead by Shane Warne have won the first season of the IPL in 2008 beating Chennai Super Kings. The IPL 2009, the second session is hosted in South Africa.
